Hi it's very importan for my company open psd created by photoshop CC 2024 by photoshop elements.

There is 2 designers with ps CC 2024 who created a PSD, then send the psd's to several workers with only photoshop elements. And this workers have to open this psd and ONLY hide or show several layers.

The problem is the psd who was created with PS CC 2024 can´t be opened by PS elements. The error that shows PS elements is in spanish "el comando fijar no esta disponible", the translation would be something like "the fix command is not available".

What's the compatibility with psd with layers beetween photoshop and elements?

Thank you.

The compatibility difference is that layers have never been supported in 16 bits in all Elements versions so, when opening 16 bits layered files, Elements users should receive an option dialog to either convert the files in 8 bits and keep all layers or to flatten the image into 16 bits.

What kind of layers are in the psd, like, for example, are there Gradients, Smart Objects, Smart Filters, a Color Mode other than RGB Color and 8 Bits/Channel, etc?

We could go on and on with suggestions, but the best thing is for you is to get a copy of photoshop elements and figure out what kind of layer(s) is causing the issue.
