I take photographs of my paintings with my iPhone and then I want to work on them on Adobe Elements. After cropping to correct size I can do nothing else. Adobe Elements just closes down.Never had such problems when working with old Adobe Photoshop that used to belong to my son.

Hello,
Please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience you had to face. Could you please specify the version of Photoshop Elements with which you're facing issues? Also, please mention the Operating System details.
Thanks,

Hello Medha
I am using Photoshop Elements 2018, and I have Windows 10. I am using it on the same computer on which I used the very old Photoshop that used to belong to my son when he was a student and that one worked beautifully. I used it for many years, but unfortunately I had to reconfigure my computer and I lost the program and could not reload it. My husband then bought the Photoshop Elements last year and I am really struggling to do anything on it. I like to photograph paintings that I am working on, and then to make changes before I do it on the canvas.
Kind regards
Marika

Can you try deleting the prefs.
From the Editor menu go to:
Edit >> Preferences >> General (tab)
Click the button to re-set the preference settings on next launch.
Then close and re-open.
Let us know if that makes any difference.

I did what you suggested, but I still have problems. If I want to perform any task after cropping an image it says “not enough RAM” I checked, and my competer has plenty RAM available. L

That's what the thousands of users hit by the Windows 10 1803 bug are believing.
Error: An integer between 50 and 8 is required | Elements | Windows 10

Can you give the number of MB available for Elements in the 11th line?
