New Here ,

I installed PSE 15.  The editor works fine.  However, whenever I try to open the organizer I get and error message and it shuts down.  What should I do?

Hi,

Only questions I'm afraid as you haven't given us anything to go on.

Which operating system are you running on?

What is the error message that you get?

This is usually a problem with your catalog. Did you have an earlier version of PSE - which?

Has the organizer ever worked or did it start failing after you installed it?

Have you installed Pemiere elements 15?

Brian

Hi Brian-

I have Windows 10 on my laptop. The error message reads:  PSE 15 Organizer has stopped working. Windows
will close program and notify if a solution is available.  I have PSE 12 still on my laptop. Organizer has never worked for me.  No, I have not tried Premiere Elements 15.  I'm wondering if I need uninstall and reinstall.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

Tom

Hi,

To see if it is your catalog causing the problem, try creating a new test catalog as follows: -

  1. Hold down the shift key when you launch the organizer - this should bring up the Catalog Manager, then release the shift key
  2. Click New
  3. Enter a new name (e.g. Test) and click on OK
  4. Skip the import at this stage as it will try to import everything
  5. Import a few images just to test with

If that works, the problem is with your catalog.

If the test catalog still fails, uninstall/re-install PSE
