I have been operating PS Elements 12 for 4 years without issue on a Mac and then last week the program started crashing.
The program works fine in Raw but as soon as you go to editor the click on an image the program crashes.
Does anyone know a fix

Have you updated to Mojave? Try trashing the prefs which is usually necessary after updating Mac OS.
Quit Elements
Launch Finder and go to your Username >>Library >> Preferences
Send the following files/folders to the trash:
com.adobe.PhotoshopElements.plist
Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 Paths
Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 Settings.
The library is hidden in recent versions of Mac OS. To get to your user library quickly, from the top menu in Finder, click “Go” whilst holding down the Option (Alt) key and your user Library will appear for you to choose.
After deleting the above, try launching Elements again. Let us know if that works.

Sorry that made no difference for you. Older software can often cause problems. There was a Mac forum suggestion related to Security & Privacy settings. I’ve not tried it personally but you could give it a try if the dialog shows PSE.

Thanks 99jon legend, that was the fix
Security & Privacy- accessibility - then enable PS to control your computer
It appears to be working again without crashing
