Hi!

I just bought today this APSE 15. I downloaded and installed successfully. At start I can select "Photo Editor", "Organizer", "Video Editor". when I select "Photo Editor" I got a totally unresponsive window. I mean I can't press any button or select menu and I am not able to close this program anymore. When I select "Organizer" the program just works. I want to use this program for simple task as crop image, and resize but this program just doesn't work. Please help. This is a Windows 7 laptop.

Peter

I tracked down that my company firewall blocking outgoing traffic from PSE 15. So the workaround is to turn off wifi on my company laptop.

Ok, after some google (Photoshop Elements Startup Problem ) I can start the application when I turn off the WiFi before launch. When the WiFi is on the app is unresponsive. This is a company laptop I can't modify the "c:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts" file as I read it in the other thread.

Hi hun.nemethpeter,

Thanks for posting in Adobe forums.

I understand you are facing issue with Elements 15.

Can we try the following steps:

1) Please go to the following location on your computer:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe and then rename the folder named SLCache to SLCacheold.

2) After doing the above steps then please press windows button along with R button on your keyboard which would then open a run dialog box. In that box please type %Programdata% and hit okay. You will then see program data folder would open. Then please open the Adobe folder and rename the folder SLStore to SLStoreold.

3) Then go to your main desktop screen and right click on the Adobe Photoshop Elements 15 icon and then click on Run as administrator. Click on Yes on the User Account Control window if you see it.

4) You will then see a window where it would ask you to sign in. Please Click on sign in and then a screen would show up where it would ask you to sign in with your serial number. Please enter the serial number and hit Okay.

Note: If you are not sure what your serial number is then please go to www.adobe.com and sign in with your Adobe Id and password. Once you are in then go to Manage Account. Then Click on Plan & Products, Under Products click on View your products. There you should see your serial number.

Hope this works

Thanks

Regards

Piyush

Hi Piyush,

I did every step I renamed the two folder (to rename the first folder you need  Administrator rights so I renamed as administrator), I relaunched the PSE 15, then entered the licence key but I just got an unresponsive window. I checked those dirs and they are re-created. I even did these steps once again but nope.

I don't know what is the problem. I use a company laptop, so I can't fully control the software environment maybe I  should set something in the "Symantec Endpoint Protection" or in some other security software. And other thing is that I am in the USA at this moment and I use a hotel wifi but I live in Hungary and I purchased this software in Euro from a Hungarian account when I was in the USA. But this shouldn't be a problem.
