PS Elements 15 (Mac): Drag-and-drop to dock icon not working

I installed both Elements 15 apps a few days ago, and Photoshop elements has the distinction of being the only app I have in the dock which won’t open files (e.g., jpg) which I drag-and-drop onto it. I see there have been reports of this glitch with prior versions of PS Elements, but this is my first encounter with the problem. I changed the pref so it opens directly to the app, but that didn’t help. I don’t have any Premiere files, so I can’t test it's dock icon.

No, I will not try changing the primary app to PS Elements for all of my picture/photo files. The app works for me; I don’t work for the app.

Try this:

Go to

/Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 15/Support Files

double click on the

Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor.app

Once the pse 15 editor has started, right click on the icon in the dock, click on Options, then click on Keep in Dock.

Now try dragging to the new icon and see if that works.
