PS Elements 2022 won't save image adjustments

Bought PSE 2022 second-hand 2 yrs ago. Running on MacMini, Monterey OS. Suddenly, I can't save my work - don't have write priveleges, it saith. I suspect there's a subscription required and the previous owner's sub just expired. Or is there something else? In any case, what should I do?  Thanks, Stan

Zero subscription for pse 2022.

Try this first:  reset your preferences on next launch.  It's in your preference file.   Let me know it you need help with that.

NEXT: 
Start the editor.

log out of it.
Unistall it.
Reinstall it.
