PS Elements 2025 remove wires and cables

New Here ,
Jan 09, 2025 Jan 09, 2025

I upgraded to PS Elements 2025.  I found the remove tool, but where is the dropdown that allos me to choose Wires and Cables?  It seems I might be missing a tool option bar that should be at the top of the screen.  Thanks!!!

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

The feature about distractions- wire cables / people removal is a feautre of the latest version of photoshop, not PSE.

The screenshot below is from pse 2025 and the arrow points to the "magic removal tool"  which does the same thing and the distraction removal tool in PS.

This is from the latest version of photoshop:  Please note the telephone and power lines.  The second image is the result- you don't have to select the wires PS does it automatically.

This is after I manually removed some poles and the date-- PSE lets you do this, but the end result is not quite as good compared to photoshop.

This is actually the Phillipsburg School district staff  parking for the school system-- all two buildings.

As Glenn has pointed out, Elements 2025 does not have the same removal capabilities as the full Photoshop.  But it is still a valuable tool that can be used to remove distractions such as telephone wires, presumably using AI.

One technique that may be useful for deleting wires with Elements' Remove Tool is to uncheck the Remove After Each Stroke box and use the Shift key to click on each end of a wire.  A straight selection line will be drawn between the two points, and confirming the deletion check mark will remove the wire.  If you want to remove manually, it may be faster to check the Remove after Each Stroke box.   i used both techniques to remove the telephone wires from this picture of the smoke from the current LA fires.

The remove tool does work but it’s quite slow. See my YouTube video 10:06
