There have been problems with older versions of the software on WIN10, esp. after a recent update to the operating system.
The most recent version is PSE 2018, released within the past few weeks.
Suggest that you download the free 30-day trial. On the following page, see the System requirements. There is a discount for owners of prior versions should you elect to purchase the license subsequently.
