PSE 13 freezing & crashing

I am asking this question again, because the solution offered had NOTHING to do with my question, and was utterly useless.  Here is the original question:

I am running PSE13 on a 64bit Windows desk top computer, and when I try to save my work, the program freezes completely, and indefinitely.  Twice, it has frozen my entire computer.  No other program is triggering this problem.  I am incredibly frustrated, especially since I can't contact anyone directly to help me.  I have a project with a deadline, and I cannot get it done because I cannot save my work.  I am very disappointed in the lack of direct support for this program, when it is offered for other Adobe products.

This is what was offered by the staff member who responded:

I replied with this on April 17 and have heard nothing since:

That was not helpful at all.  I am not getting any sort of error message, the whole program just freezes.  And it crashes every time I try to save ANY layered file, not just a particular one, so it is unlikely that there is a flawed layer causing it to seize.  Do you have any other suggestions?

I did try the suggested solution, and it did not help.  I have updated the program, and I have removed all older versions. I'm at a loss.  I have time-sensitive projects to work on, and the abysmal support has been incredibly frustrating.   Please help me figure this out!

I'm sure that you are aware that this is a user-to-user forum, not Adobe corporate.

I don't have the expertise to guide you through technical diagnosis and a fix.

Two things come to mind:

1. Have you tried uninstalling PSEv.13, then reinstalling?

2. If you have, and the problem persists, consider downloading the free 30-day trial of PSEv.15 on your  64 bit system to see if that works. If it does, it should tide you over for completion of your time sensitive projects.

Thank you! The response I referenced was from a staff member, not from another user.  I will try reinstalling and the trial, thank you so much for your suggestions!!
