PSE 14 Editor

I purchased a new computer and am running Windows 10. I transferred both PSE 13 and 14 to the new computer. I uninstalled it from the old machine, but perhaps I didn't do it correctly. When I try to edit an image using either 13 or 14 using the new machine, I can only edit one image. The editor stops working and I must then exit the entire program, wait some time, and then I can go back in and edit one more image, but not more than one. What can I do to correct that? WIs something corrupted? Will it help to uninstall and reinstall the programs? If I did not uninstall properly from the old computer, is there some way to reset the counter to show that I am not using PSE on more than 2 computers?

I also received a notice that an update is available for PSE 13, but it won't install. I get an error U44M1P7. Are the problems related?

Apologies for this inconvenience.  A couple of to dos to resolve your queries:

• For installation related PSE 13 update issue, please refer to the solution mentioned at following link : "Installation failed" error U44M1P7 with Adobe Creative Cloud or Adobe Creative Suite 6 updates

        Note: This can apply to Photoshop Elements as well.

• There is no link of your currently computer's application not working properly to your old computer's application. Still you can use Adobe CC cleaner tool on your old computer to clean it as mentioned at link: Use the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems

• For the crash happening at your new computer, please refer to Error: Editor has stopped working in Adobe Photoshop Elements and see if this helps in resolving the issue.
