PSE 15 crashing when saving file to any folder

Community Beginner ,

Hi, everyone.

I just purchased PSE 15 for the Mac (running MacOS 10.12.x). Any time I attempt to save a file to a folder, PSE crashes without saving the file.

If instead I do a SAVE AS to the Desktop, it never crashes.

Has anyone else seen this problem? Any fixes?

(I've done all the usual steps of trashing prefs, running fsck, etc. No other problem has this issue.)

Thanks!

David

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Can you please add the crash logs here so that we can check the issue behind this crash.

Thanks,
Anwesha

Hi, Anwesha. Thanks for replying.

After I searched the web, I found someone who offered this suggestion back in 2014 for PSE 11:

Go to your username>library>preferences and delete:

  • com.adobe.PhotoshopElements.plist
  • Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 settings
  • Adobe Photohop Elements 11 paths

I did these steps (for PSE 15, of course). It seems to have solved the issue because I tried saving new files using SAVE and SAVE AS into folders at different depths, and PSE didn't crash.

I'm hoping this has solved the issue permanently. However, if it happens again, I will post the crash log here and perhaps you could look at it.

Thanks again for your help.

David
