PSE 15 organiser crash

I finally managed to delete the lavasoft dll that was causing PSE to crash when starting, it took days.Now i can run pse but when I click on organiser it loads a catalogue, shows my pictures for a few seconds and then crashes completly.

Once again I would be very grateful for some help.

First test I would do:

Start the organizer while keeping the shift key pressed. This opens a menu where you can open the organizer with a new, empty catalog. If the organizer does not crash, then there could be a problem with your current catalog.

I couldstart to make a new catalogue but then it crashed again completly.

If i want to edit a file I can open up a single picture, work on it and then save it.

This means its an organizer problem?

I cekecked the windows log files for errors. The following log is from PSE 15

Fehler beim Generieren des Aktivierungskontextes für "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements 15\MPEGHDVExport.exe". Die abhängige Assemblierung "Plug-ins\Common\TSStrider,type="win32",version="1.0.0.0"" konnte nicht gefunden werden. Verwenden Sie für eine detaillierte Diagnose das Programm "sxstrace.exe".

What its basically saying is that the plugin "Plug-ins\Common\TSStrider,type="win32",version="1.0.0.0"" couldnt be found. It then says to use "sxstrace.exe" for a detailed diaganosis. When I try to do that a window open and then immeadiately closes again very quickly. I cant read it.

Have you tried uninstalling/re-installing PSE 15? This may clear up your problem. Doing this will not affect your Catalog in any way.

Yes i did it twice... no difference :-((

PSE 14 still works fine.

I deleted pse 14 and pse 15.

Organizer crashing may be because of corrupt preference file.  Did you try to rebuild the preference file by using the three-finger salute?

This simply means that you press CTRL+ALT+SHIFT buttons and clicking on the Organizer tab in the Welcome screen.  Try this on your PSE15 and see if this works.  Keep pressing the three buttons until the Organizer starts and you have clicked on the small yes button

I use Windows so the three keys I have mentioned are for a Windows  system.  For MAC you need to adapt this instructions.

I can now start the organizer and start importing pictures but after a few minutes the programm crashes.

I'm sorry, but I am of no help there, especially since the file is in German. Perhaps it is time to contact Adobe directly.

Thank you all very much for your help, i really appreciate it!

I finally ended up reseting windows as a clean install and then tried to

install PSE15. It worked perfectly. I had checked the event logs and found them full of errors,

that made me wonder if all the problems were on my side..... as they were.
