Any idea if they've announced a plan to fix it? I FINALLY upgraded from 2011 to 2023 after getting a brand new PC for my small business and I can't even continue my design work since PSE isn't recognizing certain fonts. I've only attempted one thankfully, trying to update my website media and I don't even want to continue installing fonts if they're not all going to register.

What OS are you using - Windows or Mac? Are these fonts that are missing Postscript Type 1 fonts? Adobe ended support for creating content with Type 1 fonts in January 2023.
Can you be more specific? What font(s) have you not been able use in PSE 2023?

Hi Kassandra, Windows PostScript Type 1 fonts will have either a .pfb, .pfm, or .afm file extension. Most common fonts are either True Type or Open Type which have a .ttf, or .otf file extension.
Have you tried using any of these fonts in other Windows apps like MS Word?

Sorry Dave, I realize I didn't answer all of your questions. So for this particular font, yes. I can see it in Word but the minute I load up a design file in PSE including that font I'm immediately met with the error that it's not in the system and an alternate font will replace it.

I had no issue with installing it, and seeing it in pse. I installed the TT (True Type) font.
You generally also have to restart the program for the font to appear.
I got the font from here: https://www.dafontfree.co/bestseller-font/
Lots of sketychy websites with the same font, dafontfree is a good one.

Hi Kassandra,
Thanks for naming one of the fonts you're having trouble with. I found a free copy of Little Bestseller and installed it on my PC. The font works fine in all of my apps (including Word & Photoshop) that let you select fonts. But, my PSE 2023 does NOT recognize it!! The copy that I downloaded was published by WornOutMedia Co and is an OpenType font (.OTF). I think that the font that Glenn showed (Bestseller) is not the same as Little Bestseller that you want, but it may be a suitable substitute.
Have you tried contacting the vendor that you purchased these fonts from? Sorry, but I don't know what else to suggest to remedy your problem. Attached is a screenshot that shows some of the properties of the font including, the web address of the designer.

Glenn, now that I've logged onto my PC I can see your screenshot. The font I'm attempting to use is called Little Bestseller but I will definitely look into that one and see if I can use it as a possible alternative font. Thanks again!

Yes i believe this a bug in photoshop elements 2023.
I have many fonts on both Mac and Windows that pse 2022 and older versions recognize just
fine, but won't show in pse 2023.
Many other users have reported the same issue, however, Adobe has yet to comment.
