PSE 24 and Canon Print Studio Pro

Community Beginner ,

I've had to reinstall Photoshop Elements 24 on my PC after a reinstallation of Windows 11.  Previously I'd used Canon Print Studio Pro as it provides a good printing interface.  After going through the download process, I've been unable to get Print Studio Pro to open even though I see that a Print Studio Pro folder has been created.  Each time I open the PSE photo editor I get a message that one or more plug-ins are unavailable.  Looking at Help/System Info I see that four plug-ins from 4 different files failed to load.  I had no problem with installing Print Studio Pro in the initial installation of PSE24, nor in PSE11.  I've directed the download to the Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Elements 24\Plug-ins folder.  I've also tried the installer's default of a Canon folder, though I can't find any Canon folders containing Print Studio Pro after doing this.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Did you check the Canon site for an updated version of Print Studio Pro?

Hi @mark_1523 unfortunately, I think you're going to have to ask canon for support on this as it's their software.

I hope this helps

@mark_1523 great, I hope they can help - please come back and let us know the solution

MAYBE its an issue like the Mac one described below

Here's an idea c/o kevin stohlmeyer

Canon installer is apprently putting files in the wrong  place on Mac OS.

The correct placement is Applications/Adobe Photoshop 2023/Plugins/PPL

The installer is placing them in Applications/Adobe Photoshop 2023/Plugins/Generator/PPL

Move the plugins to the correct folder and it will work.

Thanks Neil.  I directed the installer to put the files in the correct Adobe folder and there were files installed in there after the download.  However I still get a message in PSE that Canon Print Studio Pro is not currently available.  On checking in Help/System Info I see that 4 files failed to install (sometimes 8 files).  I haven't heard back from the Canon forum, however what I suspect is that Print Studio Pro has been updated for PSE25 and then PSE26 and that the Plug-in is no longer compatible with PSE24.  I'm going to try contacting Canon about this.  I know that I had PSP working previously with PSE24 but on re-installing PSE I can't get it to instal correctly.  I believe that a stand-alone version of PSP is available for owners of Canon cameras.  I tried going down that route but I don't have a Canon camera and the website asked for a camera model and serial number.

I'll come back with more information if I get any further with this.
