PSE 8 - Unable to enter serial number

I actually use PSE12 most of the time, but I have 2 copies of PSE8: one I used (and uninstalled when I bought PSE12) and one which came free with a Canon scanner, which has never been installed. I have the serial numbers for both of them. I have just tried to install a copy on my laptop and the program keeps telling me I have not entered the serial number. I have entered it both with and without dashes between the groups of numbers. I have tried both copies. I can't even install the trial version. The message I get states that either the region or serial number is missing!

The region box is greyed out. And yes, they begin 1057

hi,

So, if you click into that region box, it doesn't allow you to select a country?

As a matter of interest, why not load PSE 12 onto your laptop?

Yesterday I couldnt click and select a country. This morning it has worked OK so I'm not sure what I was doing wrong. Anyway it is now installing.

I already have PSE 12 on 2 computers.
