PSE won’t let me enter my cereal number?

I have PSE 7 and I downloaded it on my new computer, but it says my cereal number is too short, so it won’t let me use it. Anyone know how to fix this so I can actually use Photoshop on my new computer without having to buy the program again?

Your serial number should be 24 digits.

If you got it from the Help > About screen in the software, that version is deliberately 4 digits too short.

Log in to your Adobe account and see if the full 24 digit version is there.
