PSE15 won't restart

Hello,

we have tried to install PSE15 on several computers.

All with the same result.

You can install PSE15 and open the Program.

If you close the Program it takes about 5 Minutes to close the “PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe” in the background.

During that period you are not able to reopen the program again.

We meet the hardware requirements and the operating System is windows 8.1 Pro or Windows 10
LTSB.

How can we solve this problem?

Hi Stefan,

Is this issue happening everytime or only when you are working on a particular workflow?

Did you try clearing Preferences once? To do so, Keep Ctrl +Alt +Shift keys pressed while launching Editor.

A dialog will pops up asking to delete settings file.

Say yes.

it happens all the time.

even without opening a file... just the empty Editor.

with CTRL +ALT +SHIFT i only get the properties of the shortcut or the .exe (WIN10).

Try this:

Go to Edit > Preferences (Mac: Photoshop Elements > Preferences > General), click the Reset Preferences on next launch button, and then click OK.

Now, re-launch Editor.
