RAM memory

After shooting  and editing in RAW could not save in JPEG because not enough RAM.

What software and version?  What computer?  How much RAM?

Computer Dell about 3 years old. 4.0 GB ram

My first guess is that you don't have enough RAM available.  Something like anti virus or other software may be running and not enough is available to Photoshop Elements.   The best solution would be to add more RAM.  4GB is listed as the minimum but it is low, especially if anything else is running in the background.
