I just upgraded from Elements 12 to Elements 2018. When opening a raw file from my Panasonic G9 I get a message that this file is not supported. The RAW plugin info is 10.0. I downloaded the RAW updater for 10.2 and ran it several times and Elements 2018 still opens 10.0. I uninstalled everything, cleared my cache, and emptied my trash bin then re-installed Elements 2018. RAW 10.0 is still opening. I was under the impression that Elements 2018 supported my G9's RAW files. Am I missing something here?

Yes, but that's the updater for photoshop cc, not photoshop elements.
Do you have Help>Updates in your photoshop elements 2018 editor?

If you actually ran the 10.2 camera raw updater, go to
Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Plug-Ins/CC/File Formats
is an Camera Raw.plugin there?

There is a directory for Camera Raw. I'm beginning to think that Elements 2018 isn't compatible with Raw 10.1 or 10.2. I installed the DNG converter that will tide me over until Adobe updates Elements 2018. It's annoying but it's not the end of the world. There are plenty of improvements from Elements 12 to 2018 to make it worth the upgrade.

Unfortunately, the mac app store version of pse 2018 isn't the same as the version one buys from adobe, so the updates have to come from the mac app store.
The mac app store version is "sandboxed" so the normal updates from adobe won't work.
