Raw converter

New Here ,
Oct 14, 2018 Oct 14, 2018

I have just left a chat adviser and he has suggested that I use this link

I am to be giving a presentation during the week of mono conversion in Element and CC.

Adobe website informs me that I need for my A7R III (ILCE-7RM3) ARW files Minimum Camera Raw plug-in version required 10.1. can't understand why the ARW files open in CC and not in Elements on the same computer/laptop

No Problem with CC but as I will be using Elements as well during a presentation will the attached link sent to me (https://forums.adobe.com/welcome) to a download affect my CC as I can't allow this to happen.

? should I download 10.1 for my Elements 15 , from where and will it have an effect on CC.

Thank you

Because they are not the same ACR converter versions. They are different since the version in Elements has only the main, fundamental features.

The version in Elements is issued some time after the Photoshop one.

FAQ: Will Photoshop Elements work with my camera, or Why won't my raw files open?

So, with your current PSE15, you can't update directly the ACR module (the current PSE2019 supports your camera).

The general free solution is to use the free Adobe DNGconverter to convert to DNG, but with your Creative Cloud you can "save" (convert) your raw files to the DNG raw format that PSE15 can read and edit.
