The first link shows that the D810 requires the ACR version 8.6
The second one shows that PSE12 can't be upgraded to more than 8.5
So, if you don't want to pay the upgrade to the current PSE15, you free solution is to download the DNGconverter mentioned in that faq.
That independent software can batch convert a whole folder of your NEF files to the DNG raw format that your PSE12 can read and edit.
