You need to download the ACR plug-in separately from the Help menu.  If you have a brand new camera that is not currently supported by Elements 2024, there is a workaround that will allow you to install the latest Adobe ACR plug-in.

Thanks guys - really helpful.  It's a long story (!!), but it looks like PSE24 will work for me.  Thanks again
