RAW files in Elements 14 from Nikon D3400

I have PS Elements 14 and I was trying to edit a RAW image and it says its not supported. I'm importing files from a Nikon D3400 in the NEF format. I've tried to update the RAW plug-in but it still doesn't work. Anyone have any advice/help/workaround?

Hi Joseph,

Elements 14 support only upto Camera RAW version 9.5 .

D3400 NEF requires 9.7 or higher camera RAW version which is supported by Elements 15.

So you would not be able to edit this image is E14. You can download the E15 trial from here:

Download Photoshop Elements | 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10

For information on Formats and Adobe Camera RAW support, you can refer to:

Thanks,

Arshla

Not strictly true. There is the convert to DNG option.

Download the free Adobe DNG converter, batch convert all D3400 Raw files to DNG format then edit the DNG files in Elements 14. No upgrade to Elements 15 required. Just an extra step in your workflow.
