In PSE2018, is there a way to make it so if you right-click on a photo in the Organizer and select Edit With Photoshop Elements Editor, that the photo will automatically open in the Editor ??

Hi danielo,

Thanks for posting in Adobe Forums.

It seems you are looking for opening Adobe Photoshop Editor directly .

Please follow the following steps:

* Open Adobe Photoshop Elements 2018

* It will show you the "Welcome Screen"

* Then you have to click the "Settings" button at the top right hand corner next to "X" .

* It will show you a drop down menu showing "Photo Editor" , "Video Editor" & "Organizer"

* Choose "Photo Editor"

* Close "Welcome Screen"

* Re-open "Photohshop Elements" & its will directly take you to "Photo Editor"

To Undo these changes,

Welcome screen will not open by default  as you have already skipped it .

*Open "Photoshop Editor"

* Click "Help"

* Click "Welcome Screen"

* Follow the same steps & select "Welcome Screen" in drop down option

* Close "Welcome Screen"

* Restart Adobe Photoshop Elements

Hope this helps

Thanks

Regards

Dhananjay

In the discussion that I originally posted under, there was mention of changing something in the registry so that if you right-click on a photo in the Organizer and select Edit With Photoshop Elements Editor, the photo will automatically open in the Editor. Is that possible in PSE2018 ??

That was my discussion. I was clicking on an image if File Explorer, not Organizer, so I have no idea if the same logic would work.

Hi Daniel,

If you right-click on a photo in the Organizer and select Edit With Photoshop Elements Editor, the photo opens in Editor according to current functionality.

Are you in guided room in Editor? You will be able to see the image in 'Quick' and 'Expert' room. You can also see it in 'Guided' room once you select the guided edit you want to apply.

Please let know if you have any other query.

Thanks.
