Hi!
Sorry for my bad english.
I have Photoshop Elements 12 and Acer Aspire V5-573G with 12GB RAM. I try to open an stacked raw-image (150 MB) and an error occurs wich says not enough memory. I already adjusted in the option that memory could be used to 100% but it still don't work. Confusing is that in the option it is displayed that 3255 MG RAM could be used, although its set to 100% and I have 12GB RAM.
Is there any chance where I can see how much RAM would be needed? Or better is there any further adjustment I can do, because I can't upgrade more RAM to my computer.
Thank you so much for help!
Greetings
Tobias
your computer's RAM in GB + 3 zeros.
4000 = 4GB RAM
8000 = 8GB RAM
16000 = 16GB RAM
32000 = 32GB RAM

Branched to a new thread as it was posted on a two year old thread.

That is a known issue due to a Windows Update.
Use the registry fix here:
Error: An integer between 50 and 8 is required | Elements | Windows 10

Photoshop elements on windows machines is 32 bit so it will never be able to use more than around 3.2gb of ram no matter how much ram your computer has.
You should set the ram usage in pse 12 to around 75%, never at 100%, since that will cause out of ram errors sometimes.
Photoshop Elements system requirements
If you want pse to use all that 12 gb of ram, then you'll need a 64 bit version of pse like photoshop elements 2018.
Pse 13 was the first 64 bit version for windows.

I am using Windows 1O and the Photoshop Elements 2018 used to work, however the program prompts my computer is not enough memory (RAM) after Windows updates.

The registry fix I posted earlier should take care of that:
Error: An integer between 50 and 8 is required | Elements | Windows 10
