Re-sizing an image = Elements Windows 10

Was trying to re-size an image (Windows 10) and got a message in a box saying "The NVIDIA open GL Driver detected a problem with the display driver and is unable to continue.  The application must close.  Error code:  3."   It gave an NVIDIA support address that was absolutely no help.  The Elements page that keeps coming up shows (on the right side of the screen) three columns of pastel squares (backgrounds?) and I don't know how to Escape.  Have a photo show coming up and need to work on many images.  Anyone out there have any idea as to how I can get to the page I used to crop images  that had the Modify tool on the left of the screen that used to give me a choice of sizes, including No Restriction.  Tool is there but choices are gone!

Wow, Greg.  I'm new to this site.  Hope I've got this response right.  It looks VERY promising and might just solve my problem.  Unfortunately, I have to leave in about an hour to help a friend who has bad macular degeneration and can't see well at all.   Will keep the page up and go through it all when I come back this afternoon.   Have copied the instructions onto Microsoft Word so that I'll have it handy as I go through the steps.   Thanks so much for your help!  Let's hope it works! --  Jackie
