Hello,
I used to work with Photoshop Elements 11 and have now installed Elements 15. I am not quite happy with this upgrade:
'Recent files' shows files NOT recently used and there is no updating.
In the Forum is a solution to be found for this problem ( deleting the file 'MachinePrefs'). But this is not perfect....
It seems to work, but there is some connection with 'Quick selection' !! Quick selection becomes VERY slowly.
Resetting Preferences (Edit-Preferences-General-resetting) helps only temporary: next day 'recent files' shows again the wrong files!
What to do??
Regards, Cees

There should be no effect on the quick selection tool. Or do you mean something different e.g. selecting batches of images in Organizer?

Hi, I agree there should be no effect, BUT THERE IS. I can not explain.
Immediately after I deleted MachinePrefs-file, I opened another photo in Editor and tried the Quick Select-tool. This tool dragged over the screen, very slow.
After resetting Preferences (Edit-Preferences-General-resetting), I did a restart and everything was (yesterday) fine. This morning I opened Photoshop Elements again and it proved that de 'recent files' were NOT recent.
It is annoying. Any suggestions??
September 1st.:
The problem (quick selection AND recent files ) is still present.
I have each day to delete machineprefs and to reset the preferences!! Pretty annoying!!
Anyone with a suggestion? Perhaps someone of the development team of Photoshop Elements? I would appreciate it very much if there is some interest from Adobe
September 2nd:
'Recent files' stops after 40 files! After editing the 40 photo's, 'recent files' stops updating. ........?? Any clue??
