Reconnect Missing Files -

Community Beginner ,

After  "Reconnect missing files" runs it's search, there apparently is a file missing. When I try to search manually, I see a pop up (pic below).

Problem is - Under "Files Missing from Catalog", there is NO file.

If I click the drop down carrot above "Original Location", and then click the "Delete from Catalog" option, I get a message saying "To remove items from the catalog, first select one or more of them". I would obviously do that if there was a file to click on. The box is blank.

I've tried the "Optimze" and "Repair" options in Catalog Manager.

View / Hidden Files / has "Show all files" selected

Catalog is somewhat large with 42K pictures.

Can anyone help with this?
Thanks ahead of time..

May have stumbled on a way to fix this. Got to thinking.. If I start scrolling through the photos in the album, will it stop when it comes to the one thats missing? With over 42,000 photos. I started at the top, my newest photo, and held down the right arrow key. To my surprise, it stopped at photo 866 in sequence. A pop up came up and said it was looking for a missing file. I stopped that search then scrolled down to view photo 866. Sure enough, when I double clicked it, the missing file search

Should have titled this thread "Reconnect Missing Files -  File to connect block is blank".

Have read a couple threads on this without finding a solution. Hope someone has been down this road.

The thought that my large photo catalog may be corrupt or has an issue grates on me..

My repair was to click on photo 867 then left arrow back to 866. That would attempt an opening of the file but did allow me to delete the file from the catalog. I had to do that same 867 to 866 procedure twice as the picture, which was stranglely three rows wide, and kept getting smaller until it disappeared. Hope that makes sense if anyone else has this issue. Ran the Search for missing files again and came up with none missing!

@CR125Honda Thanks for reporting back your solution.  Did you delete the file from your hard drive?  If not, can you try to upload it here.  I am curious about your description of the thumbnail being 3 rows (columns?) wide.  Was it possible that you were viewing a stack or version set of the same or edited versions of the image?  If you did not delete the file(s), that may be helpful in figuring out what went wrong.
