Remove background and frame from Elements

New Here ,
Oct 07, 2018 Oct 07, 2018

I want to eliminate the frame and background from Elements. NOT from a photo, from the App.  Thank you. There use to be a menu for this. I no longer see it.

I actually believe it does not make a difference if I can set up the App the way I want it as Adobe is not working under Mojave.

What version of photoshop elements do you have?

It's under Window>Application Frame.

Did you have it installed when you upgraded to Mojave or you did a new install of photoshop elements on Mojave?

Thanks for a response.

it was Elements 15 .  Elements 11  had a clear menu option to remove the  right and bottom frames and the background.  I have not been able to find it in 15.  On Mac.  It was already installed on my Mac although not in use.  Ironically  I did figure out how to make Elements work in Mojave  so between the  frame , background and the lack of a save edit button  I just switched back to 11 for the time being.

I will need to step up so I can take advantage of higher bit depth editing.

Pse 15 doesn't have the ability to turn off the application frame, so your looking for something that's not there.

As i remember it, support for turning off the application was dropped after pse 10.

Newer versions of photoshop elements really don't have much more that works with higher bit depths like 16 bits/channel

than your older version. Camera raw does processing using 16 bits/channel, but if need things like the 32 bits/channel, clone stamp, healing brush, layers, paint brush, etc, then you would want photoshop cc instead of photoshop elements.

Thank you for your expertise.

One of these decades I will  learn to accept that if I can not find it after all these years it just might not be there.

I still like to verify.

CC or C1 coming soon. When I was working exclusively from  film scans I did not see a commercial  need to work beyond 8bits. Methods and medium  has evolved recently.
