remove background in elements

remove background in elements ?  replace the original background with a white one?

What OS and version of Elements are you using?

In general, if all you want to do is replace a background with white, make sure that the background color is set to white.

Select the photo background that you want to remove/replace, using a selection tool such as the Magic Wand and click delete.  Alternatively, select the subject and invert the selection (using the Select>Inverse menu or Shift+Ctrl+I).
