Something weird has started to happen. I have had Photoshop Elements 6.1 installed on this computer for years and like to use it for some quick fix features that my full blown Photoshop programs don't have. For some reason recently when I save anything in Elements the files are only visible in Elements. I don't know if it's hiding them or what it's doing. I can't find them listed in any other directories when I try to open them in other programs or send them somewhere. The only place they show up is in the Elements file directory. Needless to say,I don't want it to do that.
I have already tried resetting Elements to it's default settings and directing my general computer settings to show hidden files yet they still don't show up and still save only visible in Elements. I have also run system restore several times. Reinstalling it isn't an option as I lost the disk years ago. This is my back-up, older computer running Windows 7.
So, my questions are why is Elements saving files this way and what can I do to stop it from doing that?
I have Photoshop CS2 that I use most of the time, but it would be nice to be able to use Elements for quick things like the color cast feature.
Thanks in advance for any help here.
