Hello,
I purchased Photoshop Elements as part of a bundle from QVC several years ago (it came with a Canon camera and a few other programs) and installed it on my old computer right away. I did not keep the serial number handy, and it's missing now. I upgraded to a new laptop because the old one is barely functional now, and I was hoping to transfer Photoshop over to the new one.
Is there any way I can find the old serial number within the photoshop program files? Alternatively, where could I go to request a new one? I can provide proof of purchase for the order if necessary.
Thanks!

Hi,
You failed to say which version of PSE you have or which platform you are running on - both may affect the answer.
Have you checked the CD envelope?
If you registered your version when you first installed it, ypu can find the serial number from your account.
Log into adobe.com with your Adobe ID
Go to Plans & Products
Click on View your products
That should show you your registered versions with their serial numbers

Hi Brian,
I no longer have the CD envelope and I did not register the product with Adobe when I installed it. It's Photoshop Elements 12.
Thanks.

Hi,
Strange, I thought that version 12 needed you to sign in to an account.
On your old system with PSE 12, load the editor and go to the Help menu. Do you see an option to Sign Out with your email address in brackets? If you do, try going to adobe.com and try signing in (top right?) with that address.
The only other option is to contact adobe - see Contact Adobe under Support at the bottom of the adobe.com page. That is normally a very difficult run around, sometimes you can start a chat session.
Good luck (you might need it)
Brian

Do you still have the product installed on your old computer?
If yes, could you please go into Help -> and see if there is an option to Sign-out or Sign-in?
In case if it is Sign-out, then as Brian said, you need to sign-in to Adobe.com with that ID and check for your License key, otherwise you can also try to Sign-in using the option under HELP tab of the product, which should register the serial key for your product on Adobe, and then you can get the key from your Adobe account.
I hope this helps you.
Thanks
Vipin

I had PSE 8 preinstalled on my computer when I bought it years ago with Windows 7.
I had to have a new hard drive installed and Windows 10 was put on the new drive. I can access the files on my old drive and I was hoping I could get the serial number out of one of the PSE 8 files. I looked at registration.dll using dotPeek by JetBrains. I could be missing it but I don't seem to be able to locate the serial number or product key or registration number. Do you have any ideas? I wish I had registered it with Adobe, but I never did.

Hi,
I find it difficult to believe that you were able to serialize the product without signing in on the product screen, unless you have activated it using the offline request and response code.
As Signing in is a mandatory thing before you can enter the serial key, you should be able to find your serial key associated in your adobe account.
Still if you are not able to find your key, I would suggest to contact adobe chat support with the details.
