Text font with line fill

I have this sample letter and need to recreate others with the same theme for part of a logo that needs to be resized

1. Recreate it with shapes and do pattern fill but for some reason, I can not find this type of pattern
2. Sharpening the image so that it can be increased in size without pixelization
3. Retracing in

Think 1 is the best but can not find 45deg line pattern as I am sure by rotating it and overlaying it I can create all 3 patterns needed for this sample
