I sell rare books online--I have roughtly 5000 photos of books and author signatures I need to transfer to my new computer from my old laptop I have been using for 12 years. I use the photos to describe each book for sale and listed on my website and other sites for bookselling--it is imperative that I do not lose them and that I can transfer them over--the whole idea was to speed up the time it takes to list books and photos--now here is the sticking point--I am 63 years old and relatively stupid with computers--I have an external hard drive and a USB stick (32)--I am pretty sure that I have the photos backed up on these two devices--I purchased the new version of Photoshop Elements 15 yesterday and installed it on my new laptop--I use Elements to shrink the size of my photos and enhance them (Autofix) and save them. My question is how do I import the photos to my new computer and which file to make it easy to use in Photoshop elements? I am really terrible at this so I need somebody's help to simplify my steps--please keep in mind that I am a bonehead--so if you find the time to help me with step by step instructions--that would be great. I have an appt at Best Buy with a Geek on Monday--but I am sure they will not fully understand what I need to do--I don't even know if that is one of the things they do?
thanks
