Trouble uploading in Camera Raw in PSE 2021

I am trying to upload RAW files from my Nikon z6ii into Photoshop Elements (the 2021 version).

I previously had PSE 13, so I purchased the upgrade (so that I did not have to convert to DNG). 

I also made sure I have updated Camera Raw to the latest version (13.1).

But when I go into PSE and try to open my images, I still get the error message "If you are attempting to open a raw file from a digital camera, make sure you have the latest Camera Raw update installed"

As you probably know, your new camera requires Camera Raw 13.1.  But Elements 2021 only supports Elements 13.0.  When you updated Camera Raw to 13.1, that is only for the Photoshop CC program, not for Elements.  So, I'm afraid that you will have to wait for Elements to do an update to Camera Raw.

(In past versions, there was a workaround that allowed you to simply copy the plug-in file from the CC installer to Elements.  However, because Camera Raw has gone through some major changes in version 13, I have been unable to get this to work.)
