Type Tool Text Is Tiny

  I added one word of text using the Type Tool on two photos. The 72 pt. type came out great. Since then, when I try to add 72 pt. type, it 's tiny, I can hardly see it. What happened? I'm using Photoshop Elements 2020 on a Mac.

For the file where the type is tiny, what is the resolution?

You can ascertain the resolution by going to Image menu>Resize>Image size. In the dialog  the resolution shows up in px/in.

I am assuming that you are working consistently at 100% magnification.
