Hi,
Did you try updating the Application Manager?
Adobe - Adobe Application Manager : For Windows : Adobe Application Manager
The Creative Cloud and PSE now use the same application manager - so it's worth trying.
Let us know what happens

Good morning, thanks for replying. How do I go about updating the Application Manager? Also, I am wanting to upgrade to Photoshop...what would be the simplest and easiest way to do that? If I do the cloud photoshop and lightroom, do I delete off then my elements and current lightroom? I will be gone on a shoot until 1, but this afternoon would like to work on this issue and maybe do my upgrades which would take care of any glitches possibly? Thanks for your help!!
Erica

Hi,
To update Application Manager, go to the link I gave you in my last posting and then run it.
If you want to upgrade to Lightroom/Photoshop, it is probably not important that you apply the PSE 14.1 update. You don't really want to run both systems with the same photos.
The transition to Lightroom is quite simple as Lightroom has an import elements catalog option (see under File) Remember that the images remain where they are and just the links are converted to the Lightroom catalog. Whether you import your elements catalog into your existing Lightroom catalog or a new one is up to you. It depends on whether you prefer to keep them separate or not - I suggest you backup your Lightroom catalog first if you are merging them.
Once you are happy with Lightroom/Photoshop then you can uninstall elements if you want to. It is possible to use the Elements editor from Lightroom if you want to. I would suggest you do a full catalog backup of the elements catalog before you uninstall elements and delete the catalogs. Do not delete the images, they will be linked to your Lightroom catalog.
You probably know that Lightroom handles things, like version sets, differently than elements.

Ok thanks for the info. I have lightroom now and currently using it, I would be updating my elements to photoshop. And if needed, update my current lightroom to the latest version.
