I just upgraded from PSE 2018 to PSE 2025 on my laptop in India.   HP ENVY x360 Windows 11.  I am returning to USA in March 2025.

I cannot access my PSE 2018 files nor can I open PSE 2025 sofware.   What are my options?

Try the following:

Press the Shift key while launching the Organizer.  This should open the catalog manager.  Create a new catalog and see if you can open the Organizer with it.  If not, I suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the program.

Do you want to convert your 2018 catalog to 2025?  If it did not happen when you first launched the Organizer, you can click on the Convert button in the File>Manage Catalogs dialog.  If the catalog is in the default location, it should be in the list.  Sele

Those are two very different questions, and you have not provided very much information about what is going on.

Have you been able to complete the installation of Elements 2025?

Did you get the Home Screen visible?

What part of Elements 2025 are you unable to open - the Organizer or the Editor or both?

Are you getting any error messages?

Did you uninstall Elements 2018 before loading Elements 2025?  If not, are you saying that you cannot view your files in the Organizer?

If you attempted to launch the Organizer after installing Elements 2025, did you accept the option to convert your older catalog?  If so, your problem may be that the program is converting and/or analyzing your older catalog.  This can appear like nothing is happening.  Is there any Elements activity being shown in Task Manager?

Final question for now:  Where are your media files stored - on an internal or external drive.

I am confident that your problem can be fixed.

Hi Greg:   Truly appreciate your note.  My responses are noted below..

1. Have you been able to complete the installation of Elements 2025?  YES

2. Did you get the Home Screen visible?  I THINK SO.  SEE ATTACHED SCREEN SHOTScreenshot 2025-02-21 142206.png

3.  What part of Elements 2025 are you unable to open - the Organizer or the Editor or both?  WHEN I CLICK ON THE ORGANIZER, THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE COMES ON THE SCREEN,  "Loading the Elements Organizer Workspace".  NOTHING COMES UP AFTER THAT MESSAGE.

4.  Are you getting any error messages?  NO

5.  Did you uninstall Elements 2018 before loading Elements 2025?  NO.   If not, are you saying that you cannot view your files in the Organizer?  I CAN SEE THE FILES ON Elements 2018 BUT NOT ON Elements 2025.

6. NO

Final question for now:  Where are your media files stored - on an internal or external drive.   INTERNAL DRIVE.  I can access them from Elements 2018.

Thanks a lot for your help..    Anil
