Using elements 10 how to load files from photos on iMac

Guest

I am using photoshop elements 10 on my iMac and I am finding it impossible to use any of my photographs in my Photos file as taken by either my iPhone or my iPad. Surely there must be a solution to this so what am I missing?

What version of mac os are you using?

Do you get an error?

Are the photos using the new HEIF (High Efficiency Image File Format)?

Many thanks, the recently installed OS is High Sierra 10.13.1 and a comment pops up saying something to the effect that Elements does not recognise the format of the file.I don’t know anything about HEIF but the photos were transferred/uploaded from my iphone and ipad.

I hope that this helps.

Thanks again,

Emlyn
