Using PSE 15 on a MacBook Pro

Community Beginner ,

I have been trying to use Photoshop elements 15. I am used to using Photos and do not want to switch to the PSE Organizer if possible. I installed it OK, found I could not reimport in Photos so save to desktop and reimport to Photos from there after editing. I installed the helper in Photos and can open single photos in PSE 15 and do some basic editing. I am interested in doing more complicated things. I have gone to YouTube and tried to do the tutorials from there, but have been having a lot of difficulties. I don't get the same result when I click on my items like they do in the video. I can't download their practice images and have them behave as they do in the video. I am perfectly happy to spend some money on a course to teach me some of these things, but don't want to sign up for a course and be frustrated with it like I am with the free videos on YouTube. Does anyone have suggestions on where I can obtain training that is compatible with my Apple system. I have a new MacBook Pro and the latest Sierra. Or, where I can find info on how I can get my system to behave like in the videos? I have worked through the videos on the PSE Adobe site, or at least all I can find. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Carl
