What can I do to stop getting error messages regarding type font in Photoshop Elements 13

Recently, I have been having problems when I go to change to a different font. I get error messages such as "Could not complete the modify character attribute command..."  I have tried many things without success. Can someone tell me what I need to do?

What operating system are you using?

Did you install any new fonts before those error messages started?

Did you try resetting the pse 13 editor preferences by going to Edit or Adobe Photoshop Elements Preferences>General, clicking on Reset Preferences on next launch and then restarting the pse 13 editor?

Hi,

I am using windows 10

I have Adobe Illustrator cloud and recently  tried to download the TypeKit.  I am not sure if it even worked.  I would like to disable it if that may be causing my problems with Elements 13

I did try
