When I crop an image in Elements 2023 it turns out to be very tiny thumbnail HELP

I have been using Photoshop Elements 2023 for a long time. I always edit in the 
Expert mode. Just now I went to edit a photo and it turned out to be a very tiny thumbnail. 

I'm not sure what happened but I need to fix it. Thank you in advance for any help.

With the Crop Tool selected clear any values in the Width, Height or Resolution fields.

Hi there, I appreciate your message. That didn't work but somebody else gave me a suggestion to reset and that appears to have worked.  Many thanks for your help.
