Where are the albums created in Photoshop Elements 14 stored?

I'm new to digital photography, and really new to Photoshop Elements 14.

I created an album, and I moved some photos into the album.  I then tweaked the photos and saved them to the album.  I wanted to upload the photos from the album to Facebook; but, I could not access the album, because I didn't know where to look for it.  The album that I created in Photoshop Elements 14 did not show up in my array of photos, but the photos were there.  So, how do I locate the album that I created?

The problem is the definition of what an 'album' is in Elements... Different concepts on different softwares.

Albums in Elements are NOT folders.

They don't contain any media file.

You don't 'move' files in an Elements album... Media files stay on their initial location when 'added' to an album.

In old versions of Elements, the word 'collection' was used instead of 'album' (like in Lightroom).

The best word could be a 'playlist', just like with music audio files. An album is a list of files pointing to the items managed in your catalog. That list only points to the items in the catalog, where their location is recorded. The list itself can be sorted in various orders, date, filename, even 'custom' order'. You can create as many lists you want even including the same items, just like in the way you create playlists. That won't duplicate your files, they will be used in different contexts.

Those 'albums' lists are stored in your catalog. Only the catalog can tell which file is in which list(s).

So, for your purpose, another software can't know which files are in an album and in which sort order.

The general solution for sharing that album information with another software (even the explorer/finder) is to open the album in the catalog. You select all files and you use the File >> Export as new files command to create copies in a new subfolder where the other software will find them. You don't need to keep the copies after the other software has use them; most of the time, they will be only temporary, since you can recreate the same copies when needed from the album.

Thank you, sir.  What I did was to create a new folder, and I copied the photos to that new folder.  Now, I can see the new folder among the list of folders that are already there.  While I didn't precisely follow your instructions, you response did give me the idea of creating the new folder.  Thank you again.
