Why can't I download Photoshop Actions?

New Here ,

I had actions downloaded to my Photoshop Elements 11 - recently they all disappeared.  I upgraded to Photoshop Elements 15 thinking that may resolve the issue, but actions were still gone.  I tried to download new actions from multiple sites, but when I try an error message appears saying it is an unsupported file.  It won't save as an action. It tries to save as a zip.  How do I resolve this issue?

You need to unzip first (Extract All) and then look for ATN files.

You click “Load Actions” and then choose the ATN file.

N.B. if you download actions created in Photoshop CC, all features may not be supported in Elements.

Thank you.  How do I unzip or extract the files?

On Windows you double-click on the downloaded folder. Then on the menu (ribbon) choose Extract All or Extract Files.

The folder with the original files should then become available.

Hi Jonica,

When you right click a .zip file, do you see an option which reads 'Extract'? If not, please download Winzip or Winrar from web and then try the same.

Thanks
