Why does PE7 suddenly refuse to burn to disc?

Photoshop Elements 7 has been a fantastic software for organizing pictures creating slide shows and burning the finished product to disc, except that my software has recently been 'unable to burn to disc', without any indication as to what is the problem!

Any ideas?

Are you on Windows or Mac? Which exact version?

Burning disks was provided by Windows on previous versions. Now with Windows 10, you have to use external (sometimes free) softwares to burn DVDs.
