I am wondering if anybody know why Photoshop Elements Organizer 2024 deletes jpegs that I have not even edited from the folders? The missing jpegs still exist on my Mac in the real folders. I am using the very latest OS. They cannot be reimported into the Organizer. When I do that it says they are not compatible. BUT IT IMPORTED THEM WHEN I FIRST INSTALLED PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 2024 ONE WEEK AGO. Then it randomly removed them. These are jpeg files. I have not modified them since I installed this unreliabe product.
I have tried running the optimization tool.
I have tried renaming the thumbnail cache file to OLD so that it can recreate the cache, as instructed. That made no difference. It recreated the thumbnails without the missing jpegs that are in the actual folder.
Do I even need the Organzier? Is there a way to just delete the Organizer and only use the Editor? It is an exceptionally unrealiable piece of software. Frankly, it is the very worst piece of software that I have ever used in my entire life. Shame on Adobe for daring to present this as a finished product.

Just curious, are you using a Mac with the new Apple silicon chip (M1, M2, etc.)? I too am finding the product has been exceptionally unrealiable from the time I switched from a Mac with an Intel chip to one with Apple silicon. Today I tried the free trial Org 2024 and the problems have not been fixed: attempting a full backup always crashes, optomize often crashes, etc.

Yes, I am using a Mac with the M1 chip.
I have decided to return Photoshop Elements 2024. Thank goodness I did not keep this more than 30 days. I did not realize the product has no human help desk available. Just awful service and not accetable for what is supposedly a top tier company like Adobe. Perhaps they are still living on their first out of the box reputation but it is all a charade based on the help desk. We are not worthy. They do not care about us.
