Why does't Photoshop work when I try to save image?

What does RAM have to do with Photoshop pictures? After a MS Office 10 update I am no longer able to save my photos anywhere.  I get a red circle with an X in the middle.  "Could not save as 'C:\Users\…\BBbath sink,jpg' because there is not enough memory (RAM)".  I am using Elements 14.  I have a computer that is @1 year old.  Neither Raw nor jpeg will save.
