Why is there no camera info in Camera Raw 9.5

I have PS Elements 14 and this comes with Camera Raw 9.5. I have a Panasonic FZ72 but there is no specific camera info under camera calibration profile. I have been all over the web trying to find an answer and it seems impossible to actually contact Adobe. Anyone got any ideas please?

Further to my previous post. You are right, the list is of his camera's own modes. Thanks for the help. I assume then that PS14 elements does not have a comparable list for my Panasonic FZ72.

I am confused in that it seems as though RAW 9.5 will deal with the pics, but some quotes on the web say to use the DNG(C?) converter.

Thanks again.

What kind of 'camera info' are you expecting under camera calibration profile?

I am expecting a list of cameras from which to choose. All I get is Adobe Standard under the camera profile drop down. Thanks.

This tab does not show you a list of cameras. It shows various 'profiles' for your own camera... just like your camera can offer you various 'styles' to produce jpegs. Since you are shooting raw, the best Adobe can do is to try to mimic those camera presets into its own settings. And that option is available in Canon, Nikon and some other camera makers brands, but not for all camera brands.

Thanks for your reply. My neighbour has a list under the drop down box, which I thought was a list of cameras. However, in view of your comments, I will check.

The Adobe website says that my camera is supported.

What, then, is DNG converter, which keeps being mentioned in troubleshooting forums?

Thanks

The DNGconverter is an independent software, not a plugin.

It's main use is to convert the raw files of recent cameras to the DNG raw format that older softwares can read and edit.

Any editing software supporting DNG (not only from Adobe) will be able to read and edit the converted raw files.

The DNGconvert converts a whole folder of raw files into DNG raw files; same advantages as raw conversion, no loss of quality or flexibility.
