Why No Standard Tool Bar or Ribbon in Adobe Elements - Copy, Paste, Save, Etc

I am trying to decide what photo editor to change to after years of using another application that is no longer being sold. I am using the trial version of Adobe Elements and the one thing i find completely lacking is a tool bar (or ribbon) for common items along the top.  Almost every application i have ever seen has one.  Making it one click to save, open, zoom, copy or past, center, etc.  There is certainly enough room along the top to add one.  I understand you can use keyboard shortcuts like control-c, etc. But I am handicapped and using the keyboard is a pain in the butt!  Even if I weren't, I would still want this almost universal feature.  Why bury these things two (or more) clicks deep in pull down menus when you could just click in a customizable ribbon, making the workflow so much easier. 

I understand some people may not want one, so make it an option in Expert mode.  Is there any way to get a common task tool (or ribbon)  bar at the top, or is there any plan to do so.  This may be a deal breaker for me. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Here is an example of what i am talking about. In fact, if you post a reply, you will see a very similar tool bar (or ribbon) in the posting editor on this very site.
